Home Visits

homevisitsPlease come to the surgery whenever possible; facilties are better for examination and treatment.

If you feel a home visit is necessary please phone as early as possible to allow the doctors to triage and to plan their visits in order of priority.

If you are unable to come to the surgery and require a home visit, your request will then be passed to the relevant GP, who may telephone you to discuss your problems in more detail.

Routine home visits will not be done on a Monday and Friday due to emergencey demand.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to the doctor on the telephone, please phone between 8.30 and 11.00am, leaving your name, phone number and a brief message and the doctor will phone you back when they have finished their morning surgery. Some calls may be referred to another member of staff if appropriate.

To maintain patient confidentiality, information can only be given to the patient or parent of under 16 year olds. Nurses regularly undertake study days and further training to provide patients with the most up-to-date advice and treatment.
