The Maidenhead Primary Care Network, led by Dr Amandeep Dosanjh continues to vaccinate local patients registered at a Maidenhead GP Practice and have so far vaccinated over 35,000 patients.

We have now invited all out patients from cohorts 2-9 (all patients 50 and above, or with an underlying health condition) to have their 1st Covid vaccination and have started booking 2nd vaccinations.  If you have missed your invite to the Desborough Suite, please call the surgery to book your vaccination.  We will be inviting patients from cohort 10 soon (40-49 year olds) and hope to vaccinate all 18 and over by end July.  We will also be prioritising all adults at higher risk from coronavirus e.g if you have a heart disease, have diabetes, are pre-diabetic or have asthma.

We are now doing lifestyle checks at The Desborough Suite, checking your height, weight and blood pressure.  Marshals are on hand to help and the data collected will be returned to your GP practice for coding and further action where needed.

2nd vaccine doses - we know many of you are anxious to have your booked appointment confirmed for your 2nd dose.  These will be administered during the 11th week post 1st dose vaccination.  The UK government has secured these 2nd dose vaccines and we are assured they will be delivered as planned.  Please only call us if you have not heard from us after the 11th week post 1st dose.

The vaccination site is located at The Desborough Suite, Maidenhead Town Hall SL6 1RF.

If you are 50 or over and have not received an invite by text all phone call from the surgery then please call now to book your appointment at The Desborough Suite - 01628 620 458.  You may also receive a letter or text from the NHS to book in to a mass vaccination site.  If you choose to book in to our Primary Care led service at  the Desbourough Suite, then please do so and cancel you other booking at the mass site.

If we have a mobile number for you we will invite you by text message with a link that will allow you to book your 1st vaccination appointment at The Desborough Suite online.

We are vaccinating as quickly as the vaccine supply allows.  Patients are being invited according to the Government's criteria. To help us please do not telephone the surgery to ask when you will be receiving your vaccine as we do not have the staff to manage this demand.

The link below provides further information on why you have to wait for your vaccine.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this very busy time in general practice.
