Noticeboard

30/11/2021 - COVID VACCIATIONS (update)

A series of changes have been announced by the government, amid concerns about a new Covid variant:

  • 18- to 39-year-olds will be offered booster jabs
  • Boosters will be prioritised according to age and for at risk groups
  • The minimum gap between receiving a second Covid vaccine dose and booster will be halved to three months
  • Children aged 12 to 15 will be offered a second dose, three months after the first
  • Severely immunosuppressed people will be offered a fourth dose of the vaccine, as a booster
  • The booster will either be the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine (Pfizer only at The Desborough Suite)

PLEASE NOTE THESE CHANGES WILL BE PHASED IN OVER THE COMING WEEKS AND DO NOT TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY.  PLEASE WAIT FOR YOUR INVITE FROM THE SURGERY AND DO NOT CALL RECEPTION AS THEY WILL BE UNABLE TO BOOK ANYONE IN THE NEW COHORTS YET.

29/11/2021 - COVID VACCINATIONS.  In light of today's news we need to ask you to be patient and wait for an invite to book your Covid Booster or 2nd Covid vaccination.  Please do not call the surgery.  It will take a few days for the legal paperwork to be updated that allows us to implement the new guidance.  It will also take time for us to put on additional capacity at The Desborough Suite for the expected increased demand.  Patients are asked to book when they receive a booking link rather than walk-in as pre-booked appointments will take priority and you may be turned away.

27/11/2021 - Vaccinating housebound patients (update) We have made great progress and 90+% of our housebound patients have now been vaccinated with the Covid Booster and Flu vaccination.  If for some reason you have been missed, please call the surgery to let us know.
