COVID-19 VACCINATION UPDATE 14/01/2021

The Maidenhead Primary Care Network continues to vaccinate local patients registered at a Maidenhead GP Practice.  We have successfully vaccinated our care home residents / staff from cohort 1.

We are now vaccinating cohort 2 patients, the 80+ year olds at the vaccination site at The Desborough Suite, Maidenhead Town Hall SL6 1RF and hope to complete the non-housebound patients in this cohort by the end of next week.  If you have not received an invite by text all phone call from the surgery then please call now to book your appointment.

We will also be starting to vaccinate our cohort 2 housebound patient’s week beginning 18/01/2021.  IF YOU CAN GET TO THE VACCINATION SITE THEN PLEASE CALL US TO BOOK IN.

Next week (18/01/2021) we also expect to be inviting in cohort 3 patients – the 75+ year olds.  Please wait for your text message or phone call and do not call the surgery yet.

If we have a mobile number for you we will invite you by text message with a link that will allow you to book your 1st vaccination appointment at The Desborough Suite online.

We are vaccinating as quickly as the vaccine supply allows.  Patients are being invited according to the Government's criteria. To help us please do not telephone the surgery to ask when you will be receiving your vaccine as we do not have the staff to manage this demand.

Health & social care staff are not being vaccinated in our local service and will be invited to a mass vaccination site in due course.  Details should come from you employer or registered professional body.

The link below provides further information on why you have to wait for your vaccine.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this very busy time in general practice.
